About Us
STC Studios is a Danish recording studio, based in Copenhagen, Denmark founded in 2007 and owned by MD Svend Christiansen, who started as a sound engineer back in 1965 and until 2006 owned Sun Studio, Copenhagen which was founded in 1978.
Sun Studio was a pioneering recording studio for its time.
Initially located in a rural area of west Zealand, the studio relocated and expanded into one of the greatest in Copenhagen.
Sun Studio was mainly involved in Danish music productions but turned subsequently during the 80s and 90s into the leading dubbing and localization company in Europe with facilities in 10+ countries collaborating with the biggest animation studios including Disney, Warner Brothers and Dreamworks.
Sun Studios recorded the voices of Disney evergreens like Lion King, Alladin and Beauty and the Beast and hence made these adventures multilingual.
In 2006 Sun Studios was acquired by SDI Media (present-day Iyuono-SDI Group)
After the acquisition, STC Studios (acronym of Space to Create) was founded mainly focusing on music production like back in the day.
In the main recording facility Studio A, numerous Danish and international albums were recorded during the 00s and became the preferred recording studio among the greatest bands and artists of Denmark such as Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, Kashmir and Mew.
Since 2008 STC Studios has re-established its dubbing and voice-over facility and has been actively producing state-of-the-art localized animation content, especially for Dreamworks shows featured on Netflix.
